HD Projector or HD Television that is the question?

I am trying to decide whether or not if i should purchase a HD projector or a hd television. Can anyone help me decide?

HD projectors are the best of the best BUT and this is a big BUT they have expensive items that need to be regularly maintained. All projector units use a very bright air cooled bulb that lasts maybe 1000 hours max and the bulbs are gluttonly expensive (100$+) also these units are tricky to focus and are suceptable to glare even in low light conditions, your best bet is probably a good HD-LCD they are long lasting and consume far less power and comparitively cheaper considering size. Oh and projector screens are sold seperately and are not in any means cheap either.

How do I reverse the screen burn in on my HD television?

I have a 55 inch Mitsubishi projection hd television (model WS55315) that is about two years old. Within the last month it has developed a burn in image in the lower right corner. Can I do anything to reverse this burn in?

If the set is CRT based, there is not a whole lot to be done. In the future, you could try turning down the contrast to avoid any further damage. If the image is really in there (as in, really badly burned nothing will fix it). I have seen cases where the image is not that badly burned into the phosphorous of the CRT. Running the set without any logos or things like that can eventually be minimized. Also avoid leaving the set muted for any length of time. I repaired a Mitsubishi set once that had the word MUTE burned into the screen. Fortunately, the CRTs were to be replaced under a recall at the time (V10 chassis). I did show the customer what had happened because of the muting being used all the time, instead of simply turning the volume down. They were astonished, and had not noticed until they had new CRTs installed in the set.
If the set is a plasma type, the image will eventually go away, if you stay away from what caused the image in the first place, again try turning the contrast down on the channels that use a logo (opaque), instead of a watermark (translucent).

Is it worth connecting an XBOX 360 up to a 15 inch HD ready television?

Is it worth connecting an XBOX 360 up to a 15 inch HD ready television? In terms of picture quality. I have a small bedroom and sit only 1 metre and half away from the screen when playing.

why wouldn’t it be worth it then?

A Better HDTV Antenna

This is a how to video for building a HDTV antenna rhat will beat the coathanger design, and most commercial antennas, for that matter. This antenna can easily be made with tools you mat already have on hand. All of the materials can be picked up at the local home center with the possible exception of the balun (300 to 75 ohm transformer). Sometimes that item is unavailable, but they’re supposed to stock it. Same for Wal-Mart, and K-Mart.

Can a rear projection television really deliver a HD picture?

I own a Hitachi 51F510 rear projection television. There is an option for Simulated HD but I never see that image layered effect that I see on flat screen hd televisions. My cable box has the 4-5 HD cable inputs but I don’t think that I am getting my money’s worth. I don’t know whether or not to buy a new TV or just cancel my HD cable service. What should I do and how can I tell if my HD signal is being processed?

The Hitachi 51F510 is considered an HD-Ready TV. It has no tuner but can display in either 720p or 1080i, so it should work just fine with your cable box.

To get HD, you need to connect it using either a DVI cable (or HDMI to DVI ) or Component video (Red/green/blue). Make sure you set the set-top box output to 1080i or 720p.

So, no need to cancel your HD service, but make sure you take full advantage of your TV via correct setup and cables.

What is the best HD television for video games?

I have a Playstation 3 and I was wondering what hd television should I get? It needs to be a plasma screen.

Does anyone else find it a bit stupid when they advertise HD television?

Quite often I see adverts advertising hd television…and they show clips of TV…it seems pretty pointless seeing as my TV isn’t HD haha so I can’t see any difference in the quality..

Anyone else agree?

LMAO!! That was funny you!

Maybe… it’s some mind trick… not reverse psychology but they try to make you curious about it. So then you’ll think… I can’t see what they are talking about… i should get it to find out what the hype is about. "They" are sneaky like that.
